College Counseling

In preparing our students to lead lives of integrity, purpose, and responsible global citizenship, we also prepare them for selective college admissions. This process is formalized in a college counseling curriculum that begins in Grade 9 and continues throughout the Upper School years.

We believe that the process of selecting a college is an incredibly valuable and personal exercise – one which affords students the opportunity to further develop their interests, identify their unique gifts and talents, and consider their individual preferences and values.

As we facilitate this process of self-discovery, we will ensure that every Thaden student is equipped to navigate the college application process with confidence and receives ample individualized guidance along the way.

Thaden School recognizes the vital role that parents play as they help their children transition into young adults. As such, we keep parents involved and informed through group informational meetings, monthly newsletters, and individual meetings with families.

For information about our college counseling program, contact Phil Hooper, Director of College Counseling.
