Julie Griggs

English Academic Chair and Faculty

An Arkansas native, Julie Griggs comes to Thaden from Bentonville High School, where she served as a Professional Learning Community leader and taught a variety of English language courses. A co-creator of the Engaging Empathy curriculum, Julie received the 2020 Media Literacy Award from the National Council of Teachers of English. Julie is a National Board-Certified Teacher and holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in teaching from the University of Arkansas.
