Alana Janoff

English Faculty

A native of Long Beach, California Alana Janoff brings to Thaden her eleven years of teaching experience in classical and modern literature, composition, and Italian language at the high school and college level, most recently as an upper school English teacher at Lake Tahoe Preparatory School. Alana has also published editorials, book reviews and art reviews for journals including Modern Language Notes, Art in America and the Times Literary Supplement. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and European Studies from the University of California-Irvine and master’s and doctoral degrees from Princeton University.
