Ryan Gebhardt came to Thaden School from The Highroller Cyclery in Fayetteville, Arkansas's oldest independent bike shop, where he spent four years as lead mechanic. Prior to that, he has built and repaired bicycles over the past 18 years in places such as Baltimore, Fort Worth, Moab, and New Orleans. His eclectic work experience includes brewing iced tea in New Orleans, tree planting in east Texas, maintaining rooftop gardens in Manhattan, farming in California, performing music, folding laundry, and umpiring little league games. His career in education started over a decade ago as a high ropes instructor and facilitator at Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center in Parkton, Maryland. Ryan holds a diploma from Hereford High School in Parkton, Maryland.
