Sarah Sagely came to Thaden from her hometown of West Fork, Arkansas, where she served as the assistant parks and recreation director. Sarah played basketball and softball while she attended Crowder Community College in Neosho, Missouri. She holds a bachelor's degree in health and human performance from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and a master's degree in education from the University of Arkansas Monticello.
